Volunteer

We are Community Driven! Great programs start with great volunteers like you! We are looking for team players who care about the kids and want to help make a better community. This will take time and we need your help!

Volunteer Benefits

  • Have a meaningful connection with all those involved. Something you will never get by having paid coaches.
  • Bonding with your player and community at large
  • Help players learn all the benefits sports and teamwork provide
  • You and your child will gain life long friends
  • Ensure the best possible experience for our youth

Expectations of a Volunteer Coach

You are not expected to manage everything alone — structure and support are built in. You don’t even need to have played soccer before. We provide all the lesson plans with video tutorials and in person guidance. The commitment is meaningful, manageable, and makes a tremendous difference for the kids.

Getting Started

  • Fulfill all registration requirements to be a volunteer
    • Background check
    • Safe Sport and Concussion online training
  • Go to a training meeting to learn how training sessions and games are organized and to pick up gear.
  • Ensure your team is set up on team snap and receiving all communication

Training Days

  • All training lessons will be taught by the division commissioner. You are to make sure your team is following along and help any player that does not understand the lesson.
  • All written training lessons will be provided in advance with video tutorials. Please learn them so you can help teach the players.
  • Arrive early to training days and set up the field for the days lesson
  • Take attendance as players arrive and have them put water bottles in team area

Game Days

  • Arrive early to setup for the game
  • Have players warm up and learn the formation
  • Substitute players evenly throughout the game. Playing time should be as equal as possible
  • Clean up after games

End of Season

  • Provide feedback to the board for improvement of the club
  • Evaluate kids so next season’s teams are even

Coach Refund Policy

You will pay for your child during the first Fall/Spring Recreation season of your volunteering, after that you will receive a code, per Fall/Spring season that you volunteer, to discount the child registration, so that season’s registration is free. Seasoned coaches must register before they register their player(s) for software and managerial reasons. Coaches need to register prior to when late fees kick in or the code will not cover the late fee. When you have reached the end of your coaching career with us, you will be reimbursed the original registration fee after the same season you originally signed up for (signed up for Fall, done in Spring, receive a refund in the Fall).  If your child is continuing with the program, but you cannot coach, you can use the code for one more Fall/Spring season & that will be your refund.
